"Stepping Out" captures what most of us do in Nikes: look cool while deepening our connections to ourselves and our environment. I wanted to channel a down-to-earth, rough-around-the-edges aesthetic, and Downtown Los Angeles played the perfect setting. Life is not a manicured and clean commercial set. We're not all athletes and models. Most of us areĀ regular folk stepping out in our fancy shoes. Achieving a ground-level perspective while maintaining anĀ elevated and aspirational visual direction was key.
